Founded in 2003 by Matthew McCarthy, a devoted movie poster collector and former poster archivist for the Audrey Hepburn Foundation, Film/Art Gallery began as a modest venture in the heart of Hollywood, California. Through Matthew's passion, it has evolved into one of the world's premier sources for vintage original film posters, boasting a collection that now encompasses well over 6,000 exquisite pieces.
Film/Art Gallery, In The Beginning…
Film/Art Gallery was born from a deep-seated love for movies and a discerning eye for design. This dual passion propels us to traverse global markets in search of authentic, original film posters. Our collection represents a diverse array of iconic films, ranging from the timeless elegance of "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" to the avant-garde allure of "Blow-Up."
In 2004, we launched our website to share our curated selections worldwide, and in 2008, we relocated to the historic Technicolor building in Hollywood, further deepening our ties to the cinematic arts.
